Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

Nagaraj Shetti, Technical Research Analyst at HDFC Securities, believes Monday's pattern could be considered as a High Wave, which reflects high volatility in the market at swing highs.

NEW DELHI: YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 16.54 crore), PNB(numbers of share traded: 15.96 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 14.50 crore), Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 12.26 crore), Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd.(numbers of share traded: 7.84 crore), Ambuja Cements(numbers of share traded: 7.83 crore), Tata Steel(numbers of share traded: 7.29 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 7.26 crore), Bank of Baroda(numbers of share traded: 7.06 crore) and Zomato Ltd.(numbers of share traded: 6.88 crore) emerged top gainers in Wednesday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 45.85 points down at 17616.3, while BSE Sensex ended up 158.18 points at 59708.08.

On the other hand, Adani Enterprises Ltd.(down 28.20 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 19.18 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 10.91 per cent), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 9.03 per cent) and Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(down 5.52 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
