Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 75.00 crore), Motherson Sumi(numbers of share traded: 11.24 crore), Karda Const(numbers of share traded: 3.95 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 2.15 crore), Alstone Textiles(numbers of share traded: 1.95 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 1.14 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 0.91 crore), IOB(numbers of share traded: 0.84 crore), PNB(numbers of share traded: 0.83 crore) and Zomato Ltd.(numbers of share traded: 0.79 crore) emerged top gainers in Tuesday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 158.45 points up at 18053.3, while BSE Sensex ended up 562.75 points at 60655.72.

On the other hand, State Bank of India(down 1.67 per cent), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(down 0.79 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 0.72 per cent), Wipro Ltd.(down 0.56 per cent) and Tata Steel Ltd.(down 0.50 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
