Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 7.67 crore), Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 5.75 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 5.34 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 2.33 crore), Alstone Textiles(numbers of share traded: 2.20 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 2.10 crore), Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd.(numbers of share traded: 1.59 crore), PNB(numbers of share traded: 1.59 crore), NCL Research(numbers of share traded: 1.36 crore) and Syncom Form(numbers of share traded: 1.34 crore) emerged top gainers in Friday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 320.55 points down at 17806.8, while BSE Sensex ended down 980.93 points at 59845.29.

On the other hand, Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 7.33 per cent), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(down 5.85 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 5.70 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(down 5.02 per cent) and Tata Motors Ltd.(down 4.08 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
