Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 12.30 crore), Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 11.51 crore), PNB(numbers of share traded: 8.53 crore), Tata Steel(numbers of share traded: 7.17 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 6.74 crore), Zomato Ltd.(numbers of share traded: 6.43 crore), Shree Ren Sug(numbers of share traded: 6.36 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 5.37 crore), Power Grid(numbers of share traded: 3.97 crore) and Hind Const Co(numbers of share traded: 3.95 crore) emerged top gainers in Wednesday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 148.8 points down at 16858.6, while BSE Sensex ended down 509.24 points at 56598.28.

On the other hand, Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 3.44 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd.(down 3.22 per cent), ITC Ltd.(down 2.96 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(down 2.85 per cent) and Reliance Industries Ltd.(down 2.66 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
