Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 9.23 crore), Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 2.67 crore), MPS Infotecnics (numbers of share traded: 1.99 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 1.92 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 1.89 crore), Shalimar Prod(numbers of share traded: 1.30 crore), Empower India(numbers of share traded: 1.06 crore), Aether Industries Ltd.(numbers of share traded: 0.74 crore), Atreya Petro(numbers of share traded: 0.74 crore) and YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 0.73 crore) emerged top gainers in Monday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 14.75 points down at 16569.55, while BSE Sensex ended down 93.91 points at 55675.32.

On the other hand, Shree Cements Ltd.(down 3.08 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 2.68 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd.(down 2.41 per cent), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(down 1.72 per cent) and Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 1.66 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
