Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 4.07 crore), Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 3.33 crore), Shalimar Prod(numbers of share traded: 2.69 crore), MPS Infotecnics (numbers of share traded: 2.55 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 2.11 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 2.02 crore), Vikas Multicorp(numbers of share traded: 1.43 crore), Sawaca Business(numbers of share traded: 1.41 crore), Atreya Petro(numbers of share traded: 1.18 crore) and Future Consumer (numbers of share traded: 1.15 crore) emerged top gainers in Thursday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 105.25 points up at 16628.0, while BSE Sensex ended up 436.94 points at 55818.11.

On the other hand, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 5.05 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 3.43 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 1.74 per cent), Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd.(down 1.73 per cent) and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 1.59 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
