Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 15.05 crore), Future Consumer (numbers of share traded: 8.97 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 5.36 crore), MPS Infotecnics (numbers of share traded: 5.22 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 4.37 crore), Bajaj Hindusthan Su(numbers of share traded: 3.24 crore), NLC India (numbers of share traded: 3.17 crore), Karda Const(numbers of share traded: 2.85 crore), Bank of Baroda(numbers of share traded: 2.81 crore) and Shree Ren Sug(numbers of share traded: 2.77 crore) emerged top gainers in Tuesday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 246.85 points up at 17200.8, while BSE Sensex ended up 776.72 points at 57356.61.

On the other hand, Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 1.59 per cent), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 1.11 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(down 0.73 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 0.41 per cent) and Asian Paints Ltd.(down 0.16 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
