Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 3.59 crore), MPS Infotecnics (numbers of share traded: 3.11 crore), Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 2.62 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 1.36 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 0.96 crore), MRPL(numbers of share traded: 0.93 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 0.86 crore), Atreya Petro(numbers of share traded: 0.78 crore), BCL Enterprises(numbers of share traded: 0.72 crore) and Kretto Syscon (numbers of share traded: 0.62 crore) emerged top gainers in Wednesday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 177.9 points up at 17136.55, while BSE Sensex ended up 574.35 points at 57037.5.

On the other hand, Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 3.13 per cent), ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 1.40 per cent), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(down 1.34 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd.(down 1.01 per cent) and Tata Steel Ltd.(down 0.93 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
