Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 12.42 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 9.94 crore), Tata Power(numbers of share traded: 8.98 crore), NTPC(numbers of share traded: 8.21 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 7.68 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 5.07 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 4.48 crore), Bank of Baroda(numbers of share traded: 4.14 crore), Shree Ren Sug(numbers of share traded: 3.54 crore) and NHPC(numbers of share traded: 3.24 crore) emerged top gainers in Monday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 302.0 points down at 17173.65, while BSE Sensex ended down 1172.19 points at 57166.74.

On the other hand, Infosys Ltd.(down 7.27 per cent), Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd.(down 4.83 per cent), HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 4.74 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 4.67 per cent) and Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 4.00 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
