Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Shalimar Prod(numbers of share traded: 5.23 crore), Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 4.70 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 4.17 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 3.22 crore), JP Associates(numbers of share traded: 1.63 crore), MPS Infotecnics (numbers of share traded: 1.40 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 1.36 crore), Sun Tech Over(numbers of share traded: 1.09 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 0.99 crore) and NCL Research(numbers of share traded: 0.96 crore) emerged top gainers in Monday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 109.4 points down at 17674.95, while BSE Sensex ended down 482.61 points at 58964.57.

On the other hand, HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 2.73 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(down 2.69 per cent), Infosys Ltd.(down 2.65 per cent), Wipro Ltd.(down 2.15 per cent) and SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 1.55 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
