Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 9.39 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 8.71 crore), MFL India(numbers of share traded: 4.08 crore), RattanIndia Power (numbers of share traded: 2.50 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 2.42 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 1.81 crore), India Infra Trust(numbers of share traded: 1.72 crore), Lloyds Steels(numbers of share traded: 1.71 crore), Amraworld Agri(numbers of share traded: 1.36 crore) and Orient Green Pwr(numbers of share traded: 1.32 crore) emerged top gainers in Friday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 263.2 points down at 16985.2, while BSE Sensex ended down 889.4 points at 57011.74.

On the other hand, IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 4.88 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(down 4.42 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 4.09 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 3.60 per cent) and Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down 3.43 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
