Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: JP Power(numbers of share traded: 34.46 crore), RattanIndia Power (numbers of share traded: 32.26 crore), Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 29.44 crore), PC Jeweller(numbers of share traded: 13.96 crore), Sagility India Ltd.(numbers of share traded: 9.98 crore), Godha Cabcon & Insul(numbers of share traded: 8.96 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 8.01 crore), Filatex Fashions(numbers of share traded: 7.50 crore), Salasar Techno Engg(numbers of share traded: 6.61 crore) and Shriram EPC(numbers of share traded: 5.02 crore) emerged top gainers in Thursday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 120.85 points down at 25355.25, while BSE Sensex ended down 345.8 points at 83190.28.

On the other hand, Bharti Airtel Ltd.(down 2.74 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 1.92 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd.(down 1.91 per cent), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 1.48 per cent) and Shriram Finance Ltd.(down 1.37 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
