Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 39.89 crore), Rama Steel Tubes(numbers of share traded: 20.65 crore), Reliance Power(numbers of share traded: 13.65 crore), IDFC First Bank(numbers of share traded: 12.17 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 11.21 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 9.27 crore), Ujjivan SFB(numbers of share traded: 7.76 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 7.60 crore), Eternal(numbers of share traded: 6.62 crore) and Karda Const(numbers of share traded: 5.73 crore) emerged top gainers in Friday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 252.15 points up at 25003.05, while BSE Sensex ended up 746.95 points at 82188.99.

On the other hand, HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 0.86 per cent), Bharat Electronics Ltd.(down 0.72 per cent), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(down 0.46 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(down 0.31 per cent) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 0.24 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
