Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 37.58 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 20.19 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 9.77 crore), Karda Const(numbers of share traded: 7.51 crore), Tata Steel(numbers of share traded: 6.00 crore), Reliance Power(numbers of share traded: 5.19 crore), Canara Bank(numbers of share traded: 4.67 crore), Godha Cabcon & Insul(numbers of share traded: 4.46 crore), BEL(numbers of share traded: 4.37 crore) and GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 4.33 crore) emerged top gainers in Wednesday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 88.56 points up at 24666.9, while BSE Sensex ended up 182.34 points at 81330.56.

On the other hand, Asian Paints Ltd.(down 1.82 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(down 1.67 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(down 1.24 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 1.10 per cent) and NTPC Ltd.(down 0.87 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
