Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Mirch Technologies (numbers of share traded: 4.95 crore), Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 4.58 crore), Standard Cap(numbers of share traded: 3.14 crore), Canara Bank(numbers of share traded: 1.93 crore), Spicejet(numbers of share traded: 1.65 crore), G G Engineering(numbers of share traded: 1.47 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 1.33 crore), Sharanam Infra(numbers of share traded: 0.94 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 0.92 crore) and Kesoram Inds.(numbers of share traded: 0.90 crore) emerged top gainers in Monday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 289.16 points up at 24328.5, while BSE Sensex ended up 1005.84 points at 80218.37.

On the other hand, Shriram Finance Ltd.(down 5.07 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 1.84 per cent), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(down 1.01 per cent), Eternal Ltd.(down 0.70 per cent) and Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down 0.59 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
