Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

Nagaraj Shetti, Technical Research Analyst at HDFC Securities, believes Monday's pattern could be considered as a High Wave, which reflects high volatility in the market at swing highs.

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 5.56 crore), G G Engineering(numbers of share traded: 2.08 crore), Gujarat Toolroom(numbers of share traded: 2.00 crore), Srestha Finvest(numbers of share traded: 1.07 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 1.07 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 1.05 crore), Shriram EPC(numbers of share traded: 1.00 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 0.87 crore), Standard Cap(numbers of share traded: 0.82 crore) and Avance Tech(numbers of share traded: 0.74 crore) emerged top gainers in Wednesday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 27.41 points down at 22470.5, while BSE Sensex ended down 72.56 points at 74029.76.

On the other hand, Infosys Ltd.(down 4.26 per cent), Wipro Ltd.(down 3.32 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 2.77 per cent), Nestle India Ltd.(down 2.49 per cent) and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 1.94 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
