Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: NHC Foods(numbers of share traded: 6.27 crore), Srestha Finvest(numbers of share traded: 2.33 crore), Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 2.16 crore), Earum Pharmaceutical(numbers of share traded: 2.07 crore), Gujarat Toolroom(numbers of share traded: 1.38 crore), ARC Finance(numbers of share traded: 1.28 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 1.28 crore), Karda Const(numbers of share traded: 0.98 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 0.96 crore) and Filatex Fashions(numbers of share traded: 0.89 crore) emerged top gainers in Wednesday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 205.85 points up at 23163.1, while BSE Sensex ended up 631.55 points at 76532.96.

On the other hand, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 1.21 per cent), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(down 1.11 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd.(down 0.84 per cent), ITC Ltd.(down 0.49 per cent) and Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 0.47 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
