Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 28.36 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 15.02 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 9.11 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 5.93 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 5.26 crore), Hind Const Co(numbers of share traded: 4.45 crore), PNB(numbers of share traded: 3.82 crore), Rama Steel Tubes(numbers of share traded: 3.82 crore), Tata Steel(numbers of share traded: 3.55 crore) and Zee Ent.(numbers of share traded: 3.54 crore) emerged top gainers in Tuesday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 181.11 points up at 24457.15, while BSE Sensex ended 597.67 points at 80845.75.

On the other hand, Bharti Airtel Ltd.(down 1.41 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 1.09 per cent), ITC Ltd.(down 0.98 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 0.97 per cent) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 0.47 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
