Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 33.86 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 7.45 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 6.47 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 5.75 crore), Zee Ent.(numbers of share traded: 5.41 crore), GMR Infra(numbers of share traded: 4.31 crore), Zomato(numbers of share traded: 4.30 crore), Tata Steel(numbers of share traded: 3.76 crore), IRFC(numbers of share traded: 3.68 crore) and NALCO(numbers of share traded: 3.57 crore) emerged top gainers in Tuesday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 64.71 points up at 23518.5, while BSE Sensex ended 239.37 points at 77578.38.

On the other hand, SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 2.55 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 1.70 per cent), Reliance Industries Ltd.(down 1.52 per cent), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 1.47 per cent) and HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 1.47 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
