Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 36.86 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 7.72 crore), Zomato(numbers of share traded: 6.17 crore), PNB(numbers of share traded: 6.00 crore), Piramal Pharma(numbers of share traded: 5.85 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 5.54 crore), BEL(numbers of share traded: 5.28 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 5.00 crore), Tata Steel(numbers of share traded: 4.89 crore) and GAIL(numbers of share traded: 4.05 crore) emerged top gainers in Wednesday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 270.75 points up at 24484.05, while BSE Sensex ended 901.5 points at 80378.13.

On the other hand, SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 1.80 per cent), Titan Company Ltd.(down 1.65 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 1.20 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 1.15 per cent) and Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down 0.82 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
