Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 60.97 crore), PNB(numbers of share traded: 13.23 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 11.88 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 6.82 crore), Afcons Infrastru(numbers of share traded: 6.00 crore), Excel Realty N Infra(numbers of share traded: 5.67 crore), Jyoti Structure(numbers of share traded: 5.59 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 5.54 crore), IDFC First Bank(numbers of share traded: 5.29 crore) and Zomato(numbers of share traded: 4.92 crore) emerged top gainers in Monday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 309.0 points down at 23995.35, while BSE Sensex ended 941.88 points at 78782.24.

On the other hand, Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 4.28 per cent), Grasim Industries Ltd.(down 4.02 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 3.55 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 3.24 per cent) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 3.06 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
