Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 82.73 crore), Filatex Fashions(numbers of share traded: 14.77 crore), TV18 Broadcast(numbers of share traded: 13.42 crore), NBCC (numbers of share traded: 11.64 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 10.12 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 7.77 crore), IFCI(numbers of share traded: 5.91 crore), JM Financial(numbers of share traded: 5.22 crore), Reliance Power(numbers of share traded: 5.18 crore) and Tata Steel(numbers of share traded: 4.45 crore) emerged top gainers in Thursday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 99.61 points up at 25151.95, while BSE Sensex ended up 349.05 points at 82134.61.

On the other hand, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 1.45 per cent), Grasim Industries Ltd.(down 1.45 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd.(down 1.01 per cent), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.98 per cent) and Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 0.79 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
