Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Rama Steel Tubes(numbers of share traded: 27.17 crore), Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 24.34 crore), Shriram EPC(numbers of share traded: 14.53 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 9.08 crore), Filatex Fashions(numbers of share traded: 9.05 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 8.43 crore), Alok Industries(numbers of share traded: 6.55 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 5.79 crore), JM Financial(numbers of share traded: 5.78 crore) and Syncom Form(numbers of share traded: 5.13 crore) emerged top gainers in Monday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 187.45 points up at 25010.6, while BSE Sensex ended up 611.9 points at 81698.11.

On the other hand, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 1.18 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 0.77 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 0.59 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 0.48 per cent) and Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 0.47 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
