Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Alstone Textiles(numbers of share traded: 3.19 crore), Filatex Fashions(numbers of share traded: 3.00 crore), Alok Industries(numbers of share traded: 2.32 crore), Avance Tech(numbers of share traded: 2.13 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 2.11 crore), Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 2.09 crore), Srestha Finvest(numbers of share traded: 1.50 crore), Syncom Form(numbers of share traded: 1.48 crore), PNB Housing(numbers of share traded: 1.45 crore) and Shriram EPC(numbers of share traded: 1.41 crore) emerged top gainers in Wednesday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 71.36 points up at 24770.2, while BSE Sensex ended up 102.44 points at 80905.3.

On the other hand, Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 1.48 per cent), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(down 1.32 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(down 1.31 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 1.14 per cent) and HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 0.73 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
