Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 4.37 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 3.34 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 2.95 crore), Sunshine Capital(numbers of share traded: 2.65 crore), Integra Garment(numbers of share traded: 2.56 crore), IFL Enterprises(numbers of share traded: 1.95 crore), Filatex Fashions(numbers of share traded: 1.78 crore), Alstone Textiles(numbers of share traded: 1.52 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 1.42 crore) and Srestha Finvest(numbers of share traded: 1.23 crore) emerged top gainers in Tuesday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 208.0 points down at 24139.0, while BSE Sensex ended down 692.89 points at 78956.03.

On the other hand, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 3.51 per cent), HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 3.43 per cent), Shriram Finance Ltd.(down 2.85 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 2.49 per cent) and Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 2.17 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
