Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 32.76 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 28.83 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 18.35 crore), Zomato(numbers of share traded: 14.35 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 9.67 crore), Reliance Power(numbers of share traded: 7.14 crore), Hind Const Co(numbers of share traded: 6.08 crore), Trident Ltd(numbers of share traded: 5.87 crore), Tata Steel(numbers of share traded: 5.35 crore) and Firstsource(numbers of share traded: 4.98 crore) emerged top gainers in Tuesday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 63.05 points down at 23992.55, while BSE Sensex ended down 166.33 points at 78593.07.

On the other hand, HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 4.41 per cent), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 2.77 per cent), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 2.32 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 2.05 per cent) and Shriram Finance Ltd.(down 1.90 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
