Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

The NSE Nifty index closed 428.75 points up at 24834.85

Nagaraj Shetti, Technical Research Analyst at HDFC Securities, believes Monday's pattern could be considered as a High Wave, which reflects high volatility in the market at swing highs.

NEW DELHI: GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 104.23 crore), Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 74.66 crore), Hind Const Co(numbers of share traded: 12.26 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 12.09 crore), SJVN(numbers of share traded: 10.53 crore), MMTC(numbers of share traded: 10.49 crore), Sanstar Ltd.(numbers of share traded: 8.97 crore), IDBI Bank(numbers of share traded: 8.73 crore), IFCI(numbers of share traded: 8.14 crore) and NHPC(numbers of share traded: 7.42 crore) emerged top gainers in Friday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 428.75 points up at 24834.85, while BSE Sensex ended up 1292.92 points at 81332.72.

On the other hand, Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 1.26 per cent), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 0.82 per cent), Nestle India Ltd.(down 0.16 per cent), HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 0.10 per cent) and Axis Bank Ltd.(down 0.13 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
