Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 73.20 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 49.49 crore), IRB Infrastructure Trust(numbers of share traded: 26.72 crore), Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar(numbers of share traded: 22.97 crore), Shree Ren Sug(numbers of share traded: 21.66 crore), Reliance Power(numbers of share traded: 19.97 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 13.04 crore), IRB Infra Dev.(numbers of share traded: 8.85 crore), Hind Const Co(numbers of share traded: 8.55 crore) and Canara Bank (numbers of share traded: 6.25 crore) emerged top gainers in Thursday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 75.96 points up at 23398.9, while BSE Sensex ended up 204.33 points at 76810.9.

On the other hand, Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down 1.64 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(down 1.12 per cent), Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 1.11 per cent), ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 1.09 per cent) and Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 1.02 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
