Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: IRB Infra Dev.(numbers of share traded: 34.08 crore), Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 20.43 crore), Sawaca Business(numbers of share traded: 4.92 crore), Alstone Textiles(numbers of share traded: 2.77 crore), RattanIndia Power (numbers of share traded: 2.75 crore), PMC Fincorp (numbers of share traded: 2.60 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 1.53 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 1.17 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 0.83 crore) and Avance Tech(numbers of share traded: 0.81 crore) emerged top gainers in Thursday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 216.05 points down at 22488.65, while BSE Sensex ended down 617.3 points at 73885.6.

On the other hand, Tata Steel Ltd.(down 5.80 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 3.55 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 3.47 per cent), Titan Company Ltd.(down 3.22 per cent) and Wipro Ltd.(down 3.08 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
