Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 10.84 crore), Sawaca Business(numbers of share traded: 3.84 crore), RattanIndia Power (numbers of share traded: 3.68 crore), Alstone Textiles(numbers of share traded: 2.26 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 1.75 crore), PNB Housing(numbers of share traded: 1.54 crore), PMC Fincorp (numbers of share traded: 1.29 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 1.26 crore), Shree Securities(numbers of share traded: 1.18 crore) and JP Associates(numbers of share traded: 1.16 crore) emerged top gainers in Wednesday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 183.46 points down at 22704.7, while BSE Sensex ended down 667.55 points at 74502.9.

On the other hand, HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 2.87 per cent), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 2.62 per cent), ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 2.22 per cent), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 2.22 per cent) and Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 2.18 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
