Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 8.59 crore), RattanIndia Power (numbers of share traded: 6.59 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 3.00 crore), Sawaca Business(numbers of share traded: 2.95 crore), Avance Tech(numbers of share traded: 2.62 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 2.12 crore), Karda Const(numbers of share traded: 2.11 crore), Shree Securities(numbers of share traded: 1.25 crore), G G Engineering(numbers of share traded: 0.96 crore) and IFCI(numbers of share traded: 0.72 crore) emerged top gainers in Thursday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 203.3 points up at 22403.85, while BSE Sensex ended up 676.69 points at 73663.72.

On the other hand, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 2.12 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(down 1.16 per cent), State Bank of India(down 1.02 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 1.01 per cent) and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 0.75 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
