Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 214.75 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 22.21 crore), Kotak Bank(numbers of share traded: 6.62 crore), South Indian Bnk(numbers of share traded: 6.38 crore), SAIL(numbers of share traded: 5.98 crore), PNB(numbers of share traded: 5.93 crore), Tata Steel(numbers of share traded: 5.01 crore), Axis Bank(numbers of share traded: 4.61 crore), Indian Railway Fin(numbers of share traded: 4.40 crore) and IOB(numbers of share traded: 4.13 crore) emerged top gainers in Thursday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 167.95 points up at 22570.35, while BSE Sensex ended up 486.5 points at 74339.44.

On the other hand, Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 10.88 per cent), LTIMindtree Ltd.(down 1.95 per cent), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down 1.31 per cent), Titan Company Ltd.(down 1.08 per cent) and SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 1.07 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
