Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 36.45 crore), Avance Tech(numbers of share traded: 6.96 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 4.65 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 1.93 crore), GMR Power and Urban(numbers of share traded: 1.04 crore), Rama Steel Tubes(numbers of share traded: 0.97 crore), NCL Research(numbers of share traded: 0.94 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 0.84 crore), Shalimar Prod(numbers of share traded: 0.76 crore) and Empower India(numbers of share traded: 0.63 crore) emerged top gainers in Tuesday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 31.6 points up at 22368.0, while BSE Sensex ended up 89.83 points at 73738.45.

On the other hand, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 3.61 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 1.74 per cent), Reliance Industries Ltd.(down 1.39 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 1.35 per cent) and Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 1.10 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
