Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 36.41 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 15.49 crore), SAIL(numbers of share traded: 7.36 crore), Tata Steel(numbers of share traded: 6.39 crore), Hind Copper(numbers of share traded: 6.01 crore), Exide Inds.(numbers of share traded: 5.90 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 5.32 crore), South Indian Bnk(numbers of share traded: 4.59 crore), NHPC(numbers of share traded: 4.37 crore) and IRB Infra Dev.(numbers of share traded: 4.18 crore) emerged top gainers in Tuesday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 23.55 points down at 22642.75, while BSE Sensex ended down 58.8 points at 74683.7.

On the other hand, Titan Company Ltd.(down 1.86 per cent), Coal India Ltd.(down 1.69 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 1.60 per cent), Reliance Industries Ltd.(down 1.51 per cent) and Asian Paints Ltd.(down 1.21 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
