Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 26.18 crore), IDFC First Bank(numbers of share traded: 19.08 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 18.92 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 11.75 crore), NHPC(numbers of share traded: 7.93 crore), Tata Steel(numbers of share traded: 6.26 crore), Brightcom Group(numbers of share traded: 5.95 crore), Bank of Maharashtra(numbers of share traded: 5.80 crore), Indian Railway Fin(numbers of share traded: 5.10 crore) and South Indian Bnk(numbers of share traded: 4.74 crore) emerged top gainers in Thursday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 203.25 points up at 22326.9, while BSE Sensex ended up 655.04 points at 73651.35.

On the other hand, Shriram Finance Ltd.(down 1.12 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(down 0.54 per cent), Reliance Industries Ltd.(down 0.47 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.46 per cent) and Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 0.19 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
