Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 5.88 crore), Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 4.32 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 2.57 crore), TCS(numbers of share traded: 2.56 crore), Rama Steel Tubes(numbers of share traded: 1.30 crore), Indian Info Sof(numbers of share traded: 1.27 crore), Dish TV India(numbers of share traded: 0.97 crore), Shree Securities(numbers of share traded: 0.96 crore), Cressanda Sol(numbers of share traded: 0.87 crore) and Adcon Capital Servic(numbers of share traded: 0.87 crore) emerged top gainers in Tuesday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 238.25 points down at 21817.45, while BSE Sensex ended down 736.37 points at 72012.05.

On the other hand, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 4.23 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 4.22 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(down 3.55 per cent), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 3.43 per cent) and Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 3.28 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
