Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 5.16 crore), Alstone Textiles(numbers of share traded: 4.95 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 3.04 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 2.58 crore), Infibeam Avenues(numbers of share traded: 1.59 crore), NHPC(numbers of share traded: 1.44 crore), Shree Securities(numbers of share traded: 1.33 crore), NCL Research(numbers of share traded: 1.33 crore), Excel Realty N Infr(numbers of share traded: 1.13 crore) and Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 0.91 crore) emerged top gainers in Tuesday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 49.3 points down at 22356.3, while BSE Sensex ended down 195.16 points at 73677.13.

On the other hand, Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(down 4.25 per cent), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 4.22 per cent), Nestle India Ltd.(down 1.95 per cent), Infosys Ltd.(down 1.88 per cent) and SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 1.76 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
