Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 158.83 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 37.29 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 19.00 crore), NHPC(numbers of share traded: 7.73 crore), Dish TV India(numbers of share traded: 6.14 crore), Indus Towers(numbers of share traded: 5.40 crore), PNB(numbers of share traded: 5.29 crore), South Indian Bnk(numbers of share traded: 5.17 crore), Jio Financial Servic(numbers of share traded: 4.82 crore) and GMR Infra(numbers of share traded: 4.75 crore) emerged top gainers in Wednesday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 247.2 points down at 21951.15, while BSE Sensex ended down 790.34 points at 72304.88.

On the other hand, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 4.43 per cent), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 3.91 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 3.48 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 3.25 per cent) and Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 3.03 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
