Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 41.00 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 35.80 crore), Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 22.83 crore), NHPC(numbers of share traded: 22.30 crore), Dish TV India(numbers of share traded: 12.59 crore), Indian Railway Fin(numbers of share traded: 8.74 crore), HFCL(numbers of share traded: 7.55 crore), Salasar Techno Engg(numbers of share traded: 7.37 crore), SJVN(numbers of share traded: 6.03 crore) and Zomato(numbers of share traded: 6.02 crore) emerged top gainers in Monday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 81.55 points up at 22122.25, while BSE Sensex ended up 281.52 points at 72708.16.

On the other hand, Coal India Ltd.(down 3.96 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(down 1.39 per cent), Wipro Ltd.(down 1.30 per cent), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 1.30 per cent) and HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 1.23 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
