Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 80.77 crore), Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 31.76 crore), IOB(numbers of share traded: 25.84 crore), NHPC(numbers of share traded: 24.99 crore), UCO Bank(numbers of share traded: 14.10 crore), SAIL(numbers of share traded: 12.15 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 11.52 crore), RattanIndia Power (numbers of share traded: 10.29 crore), Indian Oil Corp.(numbers of share traded: 9.71 crore) and SJVN(numbers of share traded: 9.42 crore) emerged top gainers in Tuesday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 157.71 points up at 21929.4, while BSE Sensex ended up 454.67 points at 72186.09.

On the other hand, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 3.06 per cent), Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 2.30 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 1.72 per cent), ITC Ltd.(down 1.52 per cent) and Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 1.19 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
