Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 10.94 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 5.47 crore), Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 4.62 crore), Mishtann Foods(numbers of share traded: 4.44 crore), Spicejet(numbers of share traded: 3.79 crore), NHPC(numbers of share traded: 3.33 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 3.00 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 2.66 crore), Atreya Petro(numbers of share traded: 2.47 crore) and FCS Software(numbers of share traded: 2.31 crore) emerged top gainers in Friday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 156.35 points up at 21853.8, while BSE Sensex ended up 440.33 points at 72085.63.

On the other hand, Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 2.74 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(down 1.59 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 1.42 per cent), HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 1.38 per cent) and Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down 0.85 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
