Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: JP Power(numbers of share traded: 24.79 crore), Hind Const Co(numbers of share traded: 19.83 crore), Vakrangee (numbers of share traded: 19.09 crore), Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 17.62 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 16.45 crore), UCO Bank(numbers of share traded: 15.66 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 14.54 crore), NHPC(numbers of share traded: 13.95 crore), Brightcom Group(numbers of share traded: 13.35 crore) and South Indian Bnk(numbers of share traded: 11.76 crore) emerged top gainers in Wednesday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 203.61 points up at 21725.7, while BSE Sensex ended up 612.21 points at 71752.11.

On the other hand, Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(down 4.23 per cent), Titan Company Ltd.(down 1.03 per cent), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 0.44 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 0.37 per cent) and Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 0.10 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
