Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 43.27 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 24.09 crore), South Indian Bnk(numbers of share traded: 21.03 crore), Indian Railway Fin(numbers of share traded: 19.81 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 16.50 crore), NHPC(numbers of share traded: 15.91 crore), Zee Ent.(numbers of share traded: 14.64 crore), HFCL(numbers of share traded: 14.25 crore), IFCI(numbers of share traded: 13.02 crore) and IDBI Bank(numbers of share traded: 12.38 crore) emerged top gainers in Wednesday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 215.16 points up at 21453.95, while BSE Sensex ended up 689.76 points at 71060.31.

On the other hand, ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 2.91 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(down 2.77 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd.(down 1.81 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 1.46 per cent) and HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 0.77 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
