Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

Mazhar Mohammad of Chartviewindia.in said technical indicators are turning mixed as the weekly MACD chart has generated a 'buy' signal, giving an edge to the bulls.

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 14.09 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 8.23 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 1.86 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 1.85 crore), JP Associates(numbers of share traded: 1.52 crore), Reliance Power(numbers of share traded: 1.46 crore), RattanIndia Power (numbers of share traded: 1.33 crore), Orient Green Pwr(numbers of share traded: 1.26 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 0.91 crore) and Mishtann Foods(numbers of share traded: 0.63 crore) emerged top gainers in Thursday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 144.1 points up at 19133.25, while BSE Sensex ended up 489.57 points at 64080.9.

On the other hand, Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 1.30 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.85 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 0.49 per cent), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 0.31 per cent) and Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 0.27 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
