Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 97.21 crore), JP Associates(numbers of share traded: 21.08 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 17.53 crore), Reliance Power(numbers of share traded: 7.48 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 6.82 crore), Bajaj Hindusthan Su(numbers of share traded: 6.59 crore), Indian Oil Corp.(numbers of share traded: 5.40 crore), IOB(numbers of share traded: 4.93 crore), Zomato(numbers of share traded: 4.79 crore) and Apollo Micro Systems(numbers of share traded: 4.27 crore) emerged top gainers in Wednesday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 90.45 points down at 18989.15, while BSE Sensex ended down 283.6 points at 63591.33.

On the other hand, Adani Enterprises Ltd.(down 3.37 per cent), Coal India Ltd.(down 2.42 per cent), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 2.32 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd.(down 2.04 per cent) and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 1.99 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
