Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 32.10 crore), JP Associates(numbers of share traded: 10.89 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 9.30 crore), Piramal Pharma(numbers of share traded: 5.59 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 5.25 crore), IOB(numbers of share traded: 5.22 crore), Zomato(numbers of share traded: 4.94 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 4.93 crore), Indian Railway Fin(numbers of share traded: 4.46 crore) and PNB(numbers of share traded: 4.43 crore) emerged top gainers in Tuesday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 61.3 points down at 19079.6, while BSE Sensex ended down 237.72 points at 63874.93.

On the other hand, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 2.62 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 2.39 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 1.85 per cent), LTIMindtree Ltd.(down 1.72 per cent) and Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 1.40 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
