Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 25.90 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 15.66 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 12.70 crore), IOB(numbers of share traded: 11.76 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 9.81 crore), RattanIndia Power (numbers of share traded: 8.70 crore), Reliance Power(numbers of share traded: 7.99 crore), Bank of Maharashtra(numbers of share traded: 6.90 crore), NBCC (numbers of share traded: 6.89 crore) and Indian Railway Fin(numbers of share traded: 6.74 crore) emerged top gainers in Wednesday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 159.6 points down at 19122.15, while BSE Sensex ended down 522.82 points at 64049.06.

On the other hand, Infosys Ltd.(down 2.74 per cent), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(down 2.24 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(down 2.23 per cent), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 2.21 per cent) and NTPC Ltd.(down 1.90 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
