Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 34.60 crore), IOB(numbers of share traded: 25.08 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 20.19 crore), Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 19.77 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 15.42 crore), Bank of Maharashtra(numbers of share traded: 15.16 crore), PNB(numbers of share traded: 10.38 crore), UCO Bank(numbers of share traded: 8.82 crore), Central Bank(numbers of share traded: 8.33 crore) and South Indian Bnk(numbers of share traded: 8.17 crore) emerged top gainers in Wednesday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 92.65 points down at 19436.1, while BSE Sensex ended down 286.06 points at 65226.04.

On the other hand, Axis Bank Ltd.(down 4.37 per cent), State Bank of India(down 2.77 per cent), NTPC Ltd.(down 2.51 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 2.38 per cent) and UltraTech Cement Ltd.(down 2.22 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
