Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 24.26 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 21.44 crore), Reliance Power(numbers of share traded: 11.27 crore), South Indian Bnk(numbers of share traded: 11.05 crore), PNB(numbers of share traded: 9.78 crore), Bajaj Hindusthan Su(numbers of share traded: 8.21 crore), Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 7.87 crore), Rail Vikas Nigam(numbers of share traded: 7.17 crore), Bank of Maharashtra(numbers of share traded: 7.12 crore) and Tata Tele(numbers of share traded: 5.02 crore) emerged top gainers in Thursday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 146.0 points up at 19979.15, while BSE Sensex ended up 474.46 points at 67571.9.

On the other hand, Reliance Industries Ltd.(down 7.81 per cent), Infosys Ltd.(down 1.73 per cent), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(down 1.26 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 1.13 per cent) and Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(down 0.50 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
