Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 5.10 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 3.49 crore), Reliance Power(numbers of share traded: 2.72 crore), South Indian Bnk(numbers of share traded: 1.83 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 1.77 crore), Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 1.44 crore), Alstone Textiles(numbers of share traded: 1.35 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 1.17 crore), RattanIndia Power (numbers of share traded: 1.02 crore) and G G Engineering(numbers of share traded: 0.98 crore) emerged top gainers in Friday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 165.5 points down at 19331.8, while BSE Sensex ended down 505.19 points at 65280.45.

On the other hand, Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 2.88 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 2.76 per cent), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 2.59 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 2.38 per cent) and Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 2.30 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
